COMPUTEX 2021

The annual PC show will be held throughout June this year after it was first postponed and then canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic.

TAITRA organizes the world’s biggest yearly computer event where several brands related to the industry participate and make announcements about their new innovations and releases. This year, however, the event is being conducted virtually. Hence, it has been spread through June, instead of being restricted to the first week of the month as always.

While all the participating brands will be making announcements, the focus is more on the leading brands like Intel, Nvidia, AMD, and ARM. After all, these companies will be delivering the keynotes at the beginning of the event.

Here’s what to expect from Computex 2021:

1. Intel

The world-famous brand has already launched Tiger Lake-H, a top-end, high-performance, power-user CPU with 45W TDP that can go up to 65W.

The company also launched the 11th generation core Rocket Lake-S CPUs for desktops.

Intel has also released Tiger Lake 11th generation mobile CPUs. These have been designed for thin laptops.

With all these new releases, there could not be much coming from Intel. However, the brand might announce the HEDT/Core X-Series at this event.

Or maybe it will talk about its discrete graphic technology. The company has been working on it for years, and an update about the progress will cheer up many people.

2. Nvidia

The company has recently tweeted about its new GeForce product on 26th May. We are likely to get more details during the event.

We also expect the company to announce the Ti edition of its famous RTX 30-series graphic cards. This is something many people across the globe are looking forward to.

There’s a narrative that Nvidia will be talking about a few other products, considering how there are many keynotes by the company this year. It would be interesting to see what they have planned.

3. AMD

The processors developed by the company are gaining a lot of popularity in recent times. Despite the brand not being as noted as Intel, it’s interesting to see how AMD is becoming a tough competitor in the market.

We might get an update about the progress of Zen-4 architecture during this event. The recent processors were based on Zen-3 architecture, and, naturally, the company would be working on bringing out the next best.

We also expect an affordable version of RX 6000 series graphic cards to be launched at the event. These are likely to have RDNA 2 or Ryzen Threadripper chips.

AMD might also launch the new APUs, which are rather in high demand after the graphic cards became unavailable.

Other Possible Announcements

Simon Segars, the CEO of ARM, and Rene Haas, the president of Arm’s IP Products Group, are all set to talk about Accelerating Ubiquitous Intelligence on 2nd June. We are most likely to have more announcements about storage devices as well.

All in all, Computex 2021 is going to be an event a technology lover shouldn’t miss.
