Whatsapp Dark Mode

WhatsApp has been in the news for a new feature it’s currently working on. Although it may be something new for WhatsApp, the feature is quite an old one. Yes, we are talking about the ‘Whatsapp Dark Mode’ feature. This UI feature has been in the market for months now on apps like Twitter, YouTube and now Instagram. WhatsApp, despite being a category leader, is quite late in introducing this feature. It is currently in development on WhatsApp beta.

So, let’s talk about how Whatsapp Dark mode is going to look and work.

Dark Mode

The WhatsApp dark mode has been in news since last year. A new beta update shows that WhatsApp has made developments on the dark mode and that we could get it anytime now. As per the sources, WhatsApp dark mode will have a ‘blue night’ colour background instead of the usual black colour. This can turn out to be more soothing to human eyes than the stark black background. Text colour is however still not adjusted for the dark mode on WhatsApp.

Bonus news is that WhatsApp users could also get ‘Self-destructing message’ feature soon. This feature will allow messages to automatically disappear or self-destruct from chats after a set interval of time including 5 seconds, 1 hour, 1 day, 7 days or 30 days. With a few popular messaging apps like Telegram already having the feature, you can soon expect to get it on Whatsapp too.
