Tuesday, the 8th of December 2020, witnessed another leap by Reliance Jio at the Indian Mobile Congress 2020 inaugurated by Hon’ble Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi. Mr. Mukesh Ambani announced the launch of 5G by the mid of 2021. It is going to be another telecommunication revolution pioneered by Reliance Jio. 

The Indian Mobile Congress witnessed this moment when Mr. Ambani talked about his plans to make our country one of the world’s preeminent digital society. As per the Chairman of Reliance Jio, our country is already one of the world’s best digitally connected countries. This lead shall be maintained by taking appropriate policy steps to speed up an early rollout of 5G Network. Moreover, plans are in the pipeline to make this service affordable and accessible to a wider customer base. 

The reliance of 5G Network shall solely rest on high-end technology components, hardware, and indigenously developed network. Jio Reliance aims to develop this service under the Atmanirbhar Bharat Mission of the Indian Government. 

In his address, Mr. Mukesh Ambani was very positive about India leading the fourth Industrial Revolution. He urged the Indian Government to expedite policy steps taken to make this dream come true by the next year. It will be available to everyone, including underprivileged people who can now shift from a 2G network to better network connectivity using smartphones. It shall help them to participate in strengthening the digital economy actively. 

With the Indian economy getting digitalized and the demand for digital hardware increasing at a rapid pace, Jio Reliance is looking forward to meeting this burgeoning demand and developing strengths in chip design at par with the global standards. 

With this announcement, India is poised to speed up network connectivity to a higher level. Soon, India may be a frontrunner leading the world in digital connectivity.
