
Previously Outlook and Team users were complaining that they need to drag and drop Word, Excel and PDF files from the email window to the desktop and then drag them there to the files tab in Teams.
Also, it was first requested on the Microsoft forum back in 2016. Since 2016 this post received 11,571 votes and 599 comments. But now Microsoft allowed drag and drop from Outlook directly to teams according to the post from Microsoft Engineer on Microsoft Team forum
“Thank you for your feedback. I’m happy to let you know that drag and drop support for file attachments directly from Outlook to Teams is now available.”
Now this drag and drop feature will make the move easier between the two Microsoft productivity apps.
In October 2020 Microsoft administrator said that this feature is available on Teams web client now and we are currently testing the functionality of extending drag and drop support of file attachment directly from Outlook to Teams app.
In another post of 2018 administrator said that “Add Calendar to free version” was being tested internally that allows members to schedule conference calling using the calendar
