Microsoft announced Surface Event for September 22 (Save the date)

Reading Time: 2 minutes

The new Windows 11 is all set to be released on 5th Oct. If the date seems a little too far away, Microsoft has come up with another event to keep fans and tech experts interested in the brand.

The company announced the Microsoft Surface Event on Twitter, which will be live-streamed on September 22nd.

The event is to talk about Windows 11 and other devices, claims Microsoft.

Of course, the link has more than enough hints to guess what the devices could be. It’s none other than a new Surface tablet that’s likely to be slimmer, faster, and better than its previous versions.

Experts say that the device looks a lot like Surface Pro X. However, since there isn’t much information available and Microsoft is quite mysterious about it, we can guess that the previous models and the latest ones with Intel Core processors are likely to be updated and revamped.

The speculations in the industry also talk of Surface Duo phones and Surface Books, though we’ll have to hold back until the event is live to know exactly what Microsoft is planning to talk about.

The event pretty much aligns with Microsoft’s schedule of having hardware-related events in the fall. We are likely to see Windows 11 OS on a new Surface Book with the latest updates and maybe a couple of new features.

In the meantime, we can only hope that Microsoft will take enough care to prevent the technical glitches from messing the event.

The earlier online launch of Windows 11 would be a sore reminder, considering how competitors like Apple and Google have almost flawless online events.

The Microsoft Surface Event will be live-streamed from 11 AM Eastern Time on 22nd September 2021.
