Google, on Wednesday, announced the launch of its Kormo Jobs app in India to help millions looking for entry-level jobs.

Google’s Regional Manager and Operations Lead, Bickey Russell, stated “We are bringing our Kormo Jobs Android app to India to help even more job seekers discover and apply for jobs across India”. In fact, Google launched Jobs as a Spot on Google Pay app last year. However, it is now rebranded as Kormo Jobs in India.

Kormo Jobs comes with a ton of features like job listings based on location, real-time tracking, in-app interview scheduling, guides to building a digital CV, and new skilling content to help prospects learn and earn more.

Kormo Jobs was originally tested in Bangladesh followed by a launch in Indonesia. Google even revealed that Kormo Jobs is already being used by the likes of Zomato and Dunzo for remote hiring in the pandemic.
Surprisingly, the app has already crossed one million downloads. Currently, it is offering job opportunities in 10 cities: Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Pune, and Kolkata. Kormo Jobs app listing on Google Play Store states, “It only takes a few minutes to set up your basic profile, and get an impressing digital CV that prospects can share or apply directly to jobs listed on the app”. They further say that if users carefully fill out their background, experiences, and interests, matching them with relevant jobs would be easy.
The app has made it very easy for job seekers to discover available jobs and apply directly through the app. But in case you’re looking to hire, you can even post job listings as a verified employer.

In the wake of the pandemic, where thousands of people have lost their jobs, Google’s Kormo Jobs can be a shining ray of hope.
