Apple has announced that its Worldwide Developers Conference for 2022 will commence from 6th to 10th June. A majority of the event will be hosted online.

The WWDC 2022 event will showcase the latest updates and developments on all its devices/ operating systems. This year, we expect Apple to share about iOS 16, macOS 13, and watchOS 9.

Susan Prescott, Vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations and Enterprise and Education Marketing at Apple, said that the conference has always aimed to ‘create connections and build community’. She invited developers to attend the virtual event to ‘explore how to bring their best ideas to life and push the envelope of what’s possible

Apple has also arranged for a small offline gathering with limited seat availability. This gathering will be on the 6th, where developers can watch the keynote and State of the Union videos at Apple Park. The company said that the details will be updated on the Apple Developer Site.

Expectations from the Event

The focus of the event would be the multiple sessions for developers and access to interact with the engineers and developers from Apple. Apart from updates about the new operating systems for iPhone, Mac, and Apple Watch, we expect news about tvOS 16 as well. Apple might even release developer betas for the operating systems.

Tech enthusiasts say that Apple might also talk about new hardware developments Mark Gurman of Bloomberg said that the company could possibly make an announcement about the Apple Silicon-powered Macs.

The event is free for all developers. The attendees of WWDC will have access to digital lounges, learning labs, and more information sessions. Apple intends to make the conference a global event. Stay tuned for more updates.
