The company start sending out emails to users asking for a switch as they won’t be able to use Amazon Drive after December 31, 2023 while uploading will be stopped after January 31, 2023.

Dear Amazon Drive Customer,

“Over the last 11 years, Amazon Drive has served as a secure cloud storage service for Amazon customers to back up their files. On December 31, 2023, we will no longer support Amazon Drive to more fully focus our efforts on photos and video storage with Amazon Photos. We will continue to provide customers the ability to safely back up, share, and organize photos and videos with Amazon Photos.”

Android and IOS version of Amazon Drive app will be discontinued by October 31, will be completely removed from app store and play store although you keep the app but no more future updates.

As per Amazon, the key focus is on Amazon photos for Photo/Video storage and no changes will be done here hence we suggest you don’t delete this folder if you would like to continue saving your photos/videos.

Now you have enough time to migrate your content to any other cloud storage services or download the files locally.
